Six mobile sims had been issued amid my name by Mobilink, while I have owned only one of them. Seven mobile sims had been issued by Mobilink with the name of my friend, although he had owned only two of them. Mostly, this type of sims had been issued by Mobilink. May be it is so, for the reason that the Mobilink is one of the main mobile operators in Pakistan. Terrorists are using these fake sims. So, near is a prospect that any innocent person could be arrested mistakenly by security forces at any time.
So, it is requested that each person should be vigilant that how many mobile sims had been issued with his name. For this purpose, PTA has arranged a very trouble-free procedure for the convenience of people. Just go to your write message option of your cell phone and write your NIC number (without dashes) and send it to 668. You will receive a message containing whole information that how many mobile phone sims had been issued by every mobile phone company with your name.
I suggest that you should send your old NIC number also, as there is a risk that several mobile sims may be issued with your old NIC number.
After getting reply from 668 if you found any fake mobile sim issued with your name, you should block this sim at your earliest. For this purpose, you can go to any franchise of this mobile phone company. Hopefully, they will treat you on priority basis.
